Killing will now increase that states crime rate. The higher the rank of the person you kill the higher the crime rate will rise The price it costs bullet factory owners to buy bullets will update nightly based on the current crime rate. Those states that have high crime rates will have to pay more for bullets. Protection will change from the static 5 types to a protection level. You can update your protection level with money (the ability to upgrade protection via points has been removed). Each level you move up the cost of the next level will go up exponentially (so ya it's going to get very pricey). There will be NO max on protection levels! The bullet calc will then change to reflect the level. Each level of protection will require X more amount of bullets. So say cappo requires 1000 bullets if they have a protection level of 1 it'll take say 1100, level 2 would be 1200. Please note that the formula is just an example and DOES NOT reflex the actual formula, becuase that is a seeeeccrreeettttt! Gang wars have been removed... They didn't work, no one uses them so we gave them the axe! The ability to see bullet count as a crew leader or friend has been removed. Also you can no longer see training levels as a friend. We will be adding a spying feature some time here in the coming months. Killing is suspended for 7 days to allow everyone a chance to buy protection! - rez |

| Small Update The events page will now only show the last 50 events. If you have more then 50 events you will need to delete them to see the others. Any events older then 30 days are now automatically deleted. - rez |

You can now buy 10 scratch tickets at once! You now need a casino pass to play the casino games. To get a pass you need to vote for SOC Casino maximums have been raised to 1 million Crime Rate Crime rate will now increase when a car is confiscated by the police (by not shipping it in time) - rez |

What do all game designers do when the economy becomes inflated beyond control? Add a new currency of course... diamonds! At this time the only way to get diamonds is to find them in the trunk of a car. Only cars stolen from private garages have a chance to have a diamond in them. In the near future you will be able to exchange diamonds for a "special" car which is a guaranteed win on an OC. For Christmas this year we present the Christmas Tree. Everyone can put one gift under the tree, the gift can be points, bullets or cash in any amount that you wish. On Christmas everyone will get one of the gifts under the tree! When the person opens there gift you will get an event of who got the gift! Crew wars, block wars, city map whatever you want to call it is now online! State Bosses have now been added to the game. The job of the State Bosses is to collect taxes from the property owners. That money is then used to payoff the police and government officials to bring down the political presure. The higher the political pressure the harder it will be to pass crimes, gta's and oc's in that state! Other minor tweaks were made to clean up the code and make things a bit more consistent between all the property owners. - rez |

For various reasons we've decided to remove the ability to own casinos from this point forward. If you already own a casino you will keep ownership until you decide to drop it (transfers have been removed). We will be making changes to max bets and such once all the current owners are dropped. - rez |

Ok so I'm a little to in to Harry Potter LOL The event log is now online. Instead of getting those pesky OC and dice wager results in your mail you will now get them in your event log. Like messages an icon will appear at the top of the page letting you know you have an event. We will be moving more and more of the notice type messages to the event log in the coming month. Right now OC, dice wagers and rank notifications have all been ported over to the event log. - rez |

This week is a small update  Starting now both driving skill and explosives training are taken into account during OC's. What this means is if you are only at driving skill 1 (Trainee) you will only be able to use class 1 cars. Same holds true for explosives, you won't be able to purchase explosives outside your training level.As with weapons training as small amount of skill will be lost each night at server reset. We added a new type of training, Explosives Training! Basically it's mine sweeper, you have 10 minutes to mark all 10 bombs. For each bomb you mark correctly you'll earn one skill point, for each one you mis-identify you lose one. If you click on a bomb you'll automatically end the training and lose health (I mean hey you just stepped on a bomb!). Unlike mine sweeper you can end your training session early by clicking the done button. You are NOT penalized any points for not finding all 10 bombs! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Police Chase has been changed to a skill game as well! We've changed it when you hit a wall you car collects damage. Once your car reaches 100% or more damage you are caught by the police, your car is impounded and you are thrown in jail. If you make it to the top of the maze you will earn driving skill based on how damage free your car is! Although it will list all the cars in your location you will only be able to select the cars within your skill level! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Both updates work like the shooting range. You can train them once every 30 minutes, you can also use points to reset your timer. You can only reset the timer 4 times a day! Right now the skill games are not plugged into the game entirely, we are going to give everyone some time to work there skill levels up. This coming Friday we will plug the skills into the rest of the game, OC's specifically. With explosives training you will only be able to buy explosives you are trained for, same will hold true for driving! Like weapons training starting Friday you will lose a bit of skill every night at server reset. You'll have to continue training to keep your skills sharp! - Nyx |

The front page of the game has been changed. We removed the game stats and rank history. It's been replaced with a random 6 recent players and there avatars -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Vanity URLs, it's all the rage these days, so we figured SOC should have it's own You can now share your SOC profile to the public! Check out your summary page (at the bottom) for the URL.-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Speaking of the bottom of the summary page it now lists your referral URL. This is the URL you should spread around the world to get more players here into SOC. !!! Another update !!! The jail has been AJAX'd meaning no more refreshing! The jail will automatically get it's data every 2 seconds, so now it's faster than hitting refresh! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The warden option for the jail has been revamped as well. When you purchase a party time via points you become the warden for as long as the party time lasts (30 minutes). As warden you will be able to bust anyone in any state! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= The hospital has been revamped. The hospital now includes multipule healthcare options for you to chose from, including being safe from being found by a search. Another addition is the ability to check out of the hospital. Once you check into the hospital it will tell you when treatment starts, from that point every 10 minutes you will receive health points back along with getting billed. If you cannot pay your bill you will be removed from the hospital. Well you were wrong! The shooting range has been re-written as more of a skill type game. You have 5 seconds to click on as many targets as you possibly can to increase your weapons skill. Skill levels are no longer percentage bases but instead rankings. All accounts have been reset to trainee and you will need to work your way up to Distinguished Expert. At each level of weapon rank you can buy a more powerful gun (yes every ones gun has been wiped as well). The new shooting range requires not only money but bullets to train. Once your training is complete you will need 30 minutes to rest before you can train again. If you have points you can reset your training timer and train again immediately. You can reset your training timer 4 times a day after that you will need to wait 30 minutes between each training session. Since every ones skill level has been reset we've disabled killing for a bit to allow everyone to get a chance to get into the shooting range and train When killing does come back the OC's will be changed to take into account not only what weapon everyone is using but what weapon rank they have as well. Using a weapon above your weapon level will significantly reduce the chances of the OC succeeding.For those of you that had purchased a BFG 1000 via points the credits have been added back to your account - Nyx |

You can now purchase a party time for the game via points! During party time all Crimes, GTA's and Jail Busts are worth double the rank points! OC's stay the same, they will NOT pay out double! Party time lasts for 30 minutes and can be purchased via the points page for 200 points! Enjoy! - rez |
